"It's not what you know, it's who you you know." It's a cliche, but it also happens to be true. Just about anything you want to accomplish in your life is going to be made easier by a strong network of relationships.
That's great, but what if you're shy? What if you would rather set your eyebrows on fire than go to a networking event?
Four years ago in The Occupational Adventure, I posted a compilation of links to articles on networking for shy people. It proved to be one of my most popular posts. This morning, I decided it was time to update the list and post it here.
So if you're shy, never fear. There's hope. Spend some time with these articles, pull out a few ideas you can relate to, and start experimenting.
Your eyebrows will thank you.
Do you have any networking tips you've discovered work especially well for you? I'd love to hear them.
