You may have noticed a dearth of posting from me over the last few months. At the end of January, I found myself grappling with some medical challenges that ultimately culminated in surgery about three weeks ago. (More details below if you're interested.)
Much of my focus of late has been on rest and healing. While I'm still not back at 100% physically, the post-surgery brain fog is gone and I'm back in action. It feels really, really good.
I'm looking forward to ramping up my blogging again with renewed energy. Lots of good stuff bopping around in my brain.
Thanks for coming along for the ride!

More details: The super-short version of the story is that a stricture in my urethra blocked a kidney stone from passing, effectively shutting down my plumbing. They put a catheter in through the wall of my abdomen in the emergency room. After waaaay too long, I finally ended up having surgery, replacing about an inch of my urethra with a graft of tissue taken from inside my cheek. The surgery was via my perineum, so needless to say, sitting has been a bit problematic of late. But I'm definitely healing, and feeling better and better every day.

Glad all is well Curt. Welcome back!

Thanks. :-) It feels uber-good to be back in the saddle, so to speak (actually, sitting in a saddle sounds excruciating just now, but you get the idea). I went for a walk with a friend last night for the first time since surgery. Step by step.
