The pictures I post in my visual self-exploration series, Your life in pictures, have the potential to unlock insights and ideas about who you are, what's important to you, what is (and isn't) happening in your life, and what steps you need to take.
To get started, sit quietly and look at the picture. Don't try to analyze it. Simply let whatever thoughts it generates to flow. If you find yourself getting stuck, or if you want to take it further after your first-blush exploration, here are some questions to help you mine the meaning in the pictures.

- How does this picture relate to what is happening in my life?
- How does this picture relate to what isn't happening in my life?
- What free-association jumps to mind when I look at this picture?
- What does this picture mean to me?
- How does this picture make me feel? How does that relate to my life?
- What is the story behind this picture? How does that relate to my life?
- What details of this picture feel especially relevant to me? Why?
